Guendalina Urbani
Guendalina Urbani is a Roman artist, living in the province of Viterbo. Her recent work has garnered significant interest from critics, and she is represented by Galleria Umberto Benappi in Turin. Urbani primarily works with installation and sculpture, creating imaginary, contradictory, and ambiguous objects. To do this, she combines different materials in unlikely juxtapositions, subverting the real nature of the objects themselves, along with their intended use, their static, or their identity. Her work focuses on the relationship between perception and reality, aiming to create pieces that encourage viewers to consider multiple interpretations of reality itself. In Guendalina Urbani's art, the contrast between knowledge and perception reveals its ambiguities, pointing to a conceptual relationship with art.
Guendalina Urbani (Rome, 1992) has been a member of Spazio In Situ since 2018 and has been represented by Galleria Umberto Benappi in Turin since 2021.
